Casino Royale

The movie Casino Royale is spy film, released in 2006. It is the twenty-first movie in the James Bond film series and the third screen adaptation of the novel of the same name. The novel was written by Ian Fleming in 1953. The movie was directed by Martin Campbell and written by Neal Purvis, Paul Haggis and Robert Wade. The 2006 adaptation is the first film to feature Daniel Craig as the James Bond character and was produced by Eon Productions and Columbia Pictures. Casino Royale (2006) was the first movie to show the MI6 agent James Bond as vulnerable and somewhat inexperienced.

The plot of Casino Royale revolves around the beginning of Bond’s career as an agent when he is earning his licence to kill. Bond has been assigned to bankrupt a terrorist financier, Le Chiffre, in a poker game. Bond falls in love with a treasury employee, Vesper Lynd, who is assigned to provide Bond with the money he needs to play poker.

The filming of the movie took place at natural settings in the Czech Republic, Italy, Bahamas and the United Kingdom. The interior sets were built at Pinewood Studios and Barrandov Studios.
